State officials said Thursday that damage to the marble inside and out the State Capitol would cost an estimated $7.5 million.Tonight 100 protesters stormed the Capitol and were possibly let in by sympathetic union cops. If the state police are unable or unwilling to enforce the law, perhaps the governor should consider a call-out of the National Guard. Things are going to get out-of-control there and somebody's going to get killed, and my fear is it will be a Republican lawmaker.
Cari Anne Renlund, chief legal counsel for the state Department of Administration, said in Dane County court that estimates of damage to marble includes $6 million to repair damaged marble inside the Capitol, $1 million for damage outside and $500,000 for costs to supervise the damage.
Much of the damage apparently has come from tape used to put up signs and placards at the Capitol.
It was not immediately clear how the estimates were made, though the state is apparently relying on opinions by historical architects, one of whom works for the U.S. Park Service.
One concern is the residue from tape that the state says is causing damage to stone and other surfaces inside the Capitol.

Wisconsin Protesters Do $7 Million in Damage to State Capitol
Why is it when Tea Party people get together they leave the rally site looking better than when they got there, but when the earth-worshiping left gathers somewhere it becomes a toxic waste dump?

Send the clean-up bill to the union organizers.
I agree that the Unions should pay for the clean up and restoration. The tax payers are on the hook to them for their lively hood why should we go cleaning up behind them like we do our pets. They are to have a brain unlike the type our pets do so why do we have to pay for their intential acts of desecration and disrespect? What is wrong with this country--Americans stand up and right the wrongs or we are dead in the water.
