Gas Pump Activism

Glenn Reynolds pointed to a piece at Disrupt the Narrative on a plan for gas pump activism.  It's a good post, but I think what the guy is trying to do is a little too complicated.  The message can be much simpler than what he's proposing.

Here's a thought.  Most of us with computers also have some form of printer.  Get yourself some Avery Labels (the 30 to a page mailing labels are about the right size) and simply print out a page full of them that look like this:
That's all you need to say. The sticker is small enough that you should be able to stick it on the pump near the purchase amount and it won't be terribly obvious to someone watching. However, everyone that uses that pump will see it and be reminded why they're paying the ridiculous prices they're paying.

If the Tea Party groups took this challenge can you imagine what might happen with thousands of gas pumps carrying this message?

As Rush said on his show today the administration can hide a lot of bad news in their numbers, but they can't hide gas prices.

I like this idea better than the one presented at Disrupt the Narrative, the message is the wrong one.

There are many things that a sitting President could due to suddenly lower the gas prices, and then all this grass-roots activitism starts working for the O-machine rather than against it. I think a better message would be the Obama quote "Under my plan energy [gas] prices would necessarily SKYROCK - President Obama 2008".

"thank Obama's EPA for this price"

I'd suggest non-permanent labels. Things difficult to remove could get you hunted down and busted for property damage (admittedly unlikely since most of the business owners probably agree with out) but enough customer complaints by idiots could tip the scales.

Defacing property is for lefties.

Yeah, Obama is partially responsible, but don't forget the Dirty Fed. You print trillions of dollars, the price of commodities is going to go up.

Look at it as Truth in Advertising! Obama has told us to be TRANSPARENT

Avery "magnet sheets" are cheap.

I've taken your text, and added a tiny "Obama" symbol at the bottom.
Printed on plain paper, and cut into small squares. Will scotch tape on gas pumps- no damage or vandalism.

Use Post It Notes instead of stickers, that way, the poor guy who takes care of the pumps doesn't have to get a razor blade and scrape them off!

You need to false-flag it by thinking like the Obamatons - style over substance. Some bright blue lettering; Our energy plan in action! With "You're welcome" in italics near the bottom and an Obama sunset logo faded out behind the text.

I've got decals at Gconservative.com that leave no residue. (no worries about vandalism) They just say "These high prices brought to you by Barack Obama" with his picture next to it.
