So, what do we do about this?
AP, citing the charity Caritas, says more than 1,000 people found massacred in a western Ivory Coast town. There's a civil war going on in Ivory Coast. Should that be our next war? We have about as much national interest in Ivory Coast as we do in Libya.
And what about Syria? Or Yemen? Or Cuba? Or Iran? Or China? Or any number of other countries run by dictatorial governments that shoot protesters?
Going to war for reasons other than vital national interest is a recipe for failure.
