CBS Radio News White House correspondent Mark Knoller was listening in on an audio feed accidentally kept open. This is what Obama really thinks of you, GOP, and you better start negotiating with that in mind.
President Obama's harshest words were for the Republican whom the president has praised in public for offering serious attempts to address the deficit: House Budget Committee Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc.
"When Paul Ryan says his priority is to make sure, he's just being America's accountant ... This is the same guy that voted for two wars that were unpaid for, voted for the Bush tax cuts that were unpaid for, voted for the prescription drug bill that cost as much as my health care bill -- but wasn't paid for. So it's not on the level."
The president also recalled his dealings with House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, over GOP attempts in the budget bill to de-fund the health care legislation.
"I said, 'You want to repeal health care? Go at it. We'll have that debate. You're not going to be able to do that by nickel-and-diming me in the budget. You think we're stupid?'" The president recalled saying.
He'd paid "significant political costs" for passing health care, the president said, and he wouldt give it all away so easily.
Of GOP attemps to de-fund Planned Parenthood, the president said he told Boehner: "Put it in a separate bill. We'll call it up. And if you think you can overturn my veto, try it. But don't try to sneak this through."

President Back Stab
Let this be a lesson to John Boehner and other Republicans who may have private negotiations with Obama - everything you say can and will be held against you. He was overheard talking to big money donors in Chicago:

"Accidentally" left the microphone on? I'm so sick of hearing that. But if the Republicans can't learn from their mistakes of compromising with Democrats, neither deserve to be leading this country.
And where does that leave us?
And now that it's public, the GOP ought to mount their warhorses and charge into that ugly rabble.
If they don't....
I get donation requests from Repubs--I'm sending them back with a note saying I'm waiting to see results on budgets and deficits.
I don't believe the mic being left on was an accident either. If a reporter for the MSM had info a Dem president didn't want to get out, it would stay under wraps -and the reporter would get a favor later. Keep in mind how the MSM came out in unison declaring Boehner the winner of the deal last week despite all evidence to the contrary -it's all choreographed from the top.
Also, if he'd paid "significant political costs" for passing health care, he's basically admitting he shoved a program that he knew we didn't want down our throats.
