Today's Viewing List

We finished watching The Kennedys docudrama on REELZ TV last night.  I thought it was pretty well done and actually gave a fairly complimentary view of the Kennedy family.  I'm still having a hard time understanding why the series was killed by the executives of the companies that run The History Channel.  My guess is the Kennedy family won't allow anything even remotely negative to be aired about their icons and leaned on the network to kill the show.

Interestingly, Teddy Kennedy is never seen nor mentioned in any way in the eight hours series.  I guess there was no good way to tell Teddy's story without making him look like a complete low-life schmuck.  All the attention is on Joe, Joe Jr. Jack and Robert, plus the various women in their lives...and there were a lot of those.

The series will be coming out on DVD and you can get ordering information at the link.

I enjoyed the series too. I wish TV would do more of these mini-series. I remember, 'back in the day', when there would be a mini-series on frequently. Now we get murder and mayhem, and stupid sitcoms.
