Atheists Draw Literally Tens to Orange County Conference

How did this even make it in the newspaper?
The atheist group that helped erect a "godless" billboard in Westminster hosted its second annual Orange County conference Sunday, attracting about 85 people from as far away as Seattle to analyze the influence of religion on U.S. society and to work toward promoting rational, critical thinking.
Eighty-five? There were more people than that waiting in line for a burger at Five Guys.   I didn't see an article about that in the Orange County Register.

Sad.

And too bad really, because the day is coming when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD. They may not like it, but they will kneel and they will confess.

Sigh.

Five Guys out your way, Rick?

Enjoy. They started out here in the DC area nearly 20 years ago.
I remember my first visit on the way to a skating competition in Fairfax, VA.

Five Guys opened their first stores out here a few months ago and have a bunch more planned. Golfer Phil Mickelson actually owns the franchise rights here in Orange County. They've become our new favorite fast food hamburger, eclipsing old favorite In-N-Out.

It's just business, Rick. 5 Guys, burgers, of course there's a line. Dog bites man don't make the news. So let's tell folks about how few atheists show up. Human interest.

Sayeth the old, worn-out, philosophical news guy (according to '30s and '40s movies).
