Tornadoes are breaking out all along a line west of Oklahoma City almost from Texas to Kansas. A large destructive tornado has already hit areas NW of Oklahoma City, and another large tornado is tracking along almost the same route taken by the terribly May 3rd, 1999 storm. There are already reports of injuries, damage and missing people. This is going to be bad.
The Weather Channel is pretty much full-time on these storms right now, and KFOR in OKC is also streaming their broadcast live : http://www.kfor.com/news/livestreaming/
UPDATE: There's some amazing video coming out of Oklahoma. A tornado made a direct hit on the town of Goldsby and the KFOR helicopter spotted a group of people climbing out of a storm shelter. The home had been completely swept from the foundation - nothing left. Vehicles had been thrown. Fortunately, nobody at that sight was badly hurt, though fatalities have been reported in other parts of Oklahoma.
My cousin lives in Edmond and sent me this:
"It was way too close! I could hear it coming. I've never heard anything like it. We watched it go behind our house just west and north. it looked about 1/2 mile wide. I am hearing the constant sound of sirens from emergency response vehicles."
