Here's an open thread to place your thoughts on the killing of Osama bin Laden, almost 10 years after the 9/11 attacks.
I was watching something on TiVO but as always had my laptop going and was running through some of my Facebook contacts and spotted an item from a friend saying that bin Laden was dead. I flipped on Fox News and watched a clearly giddy Geraldo Rivera celebrating as the news came in. Seeing the crowds celebrating outside the White House almost brings a tear to my eyes. Never thought I'd see that with Obama in the White House.

This is a time to remember all those murdered by Osama bin Laden, and all those who lost loved ones. It is also a time too to thank all those who work round the clock to keep us safe from terrorism. Their work will continue. I congratulate President Obama and those responsible for carrying out this operation.
