Dear Rick, We have another connection besides liking "Dirty Harry." After reading your admiration of trains, I remembered that my grandfather worked the railroad yard up in northern California. He worked up near the Cantara Loop.
After work, he head up and go fishing in the river, walking from the bridge upstream to the turn. I don't if you've been up near Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen. If not, go. It is gorgeous.
