Minot, ND Flood Level Expected to Rise 9 More Feet

Yikes! I've been following the pictures and reporting by Rob Port out of Minot, ND of the flood that's currently overtaking the city. They're in a major flood stage already but the worst is about to come. Here's the estimate from the National Weather Service:
They're going to be a long time digging out from that mess.

From time-to-time I've tuned into the local Minot TV station via their UStream site and I've heard several of the on-air reporters and anchors talk about the fact that their homes will be flooded. They already know it's coming and they can't do anything about it. It's hard to imagine what that must be like.

The city maybe divided into two in a short time by the Mouse River cutting off all the bridges. You mentioned the anchors losing their homes. That would be main anchor Jim Olson and his son Perry Olson and Shaun Sipma. They have been and continue to broadcast live 24/7 and the three split the shifts. Hardly any sleep and being on air having someone else move their stuff out. I know all three men and they are great people. Prayers to the people of Minot and Ward County, ND.
