A DUI suspect, looking at a third strike, has been leading cops on a pursuit for nearly 2 1/2 hours now. Thanks to Carmageddon, there's no traffic to slow him down. He's managed to hit nearly every freeway in Southern California. He actually outlasted the news helicopter which had to land for fuel.
The whole thing is pretty silly.
There's still another day left in Carmageddon, and I'm guessing the traffic will be heavier tomorrow. So many people stayed away from the highways today that almost zero traffic was detected anywhere, and I think some of the folks who stayed home today will decide to go ahead and get out tomorrow. We'll see, but I think the I-5 may suffer some on Sunday.
