Fan Who Nabs Jeter's 3,000th Hit Asks for Nothing But Gets a Lot

This guy is a real Yankee fan and the team has rewarded him:

For one lucky fan, Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit ball was quite the lucky blessing.

Christian Lopez, 23, did not want cash or anything else in return for giving up the ball, but the Yankees thought otherwise.

Lopez will receive four suite tickets for every game the rest of the season, including the postseason, signed bats and balls and front-row seats for Sunday’s game against the Rays, YES Network said during the telecast of the game.

“It’s amazing,” Lopez told the New York Daily News. “I just picked it up off the floor.”

The tickets were a gift from his girlfriend and now he has tickets for the rest of the year because he was in the right place at the right time.
