I've posted a couple of times on this weekend's closure of the 405 which is popularly known as "Carmageddon". Classical KUSC, the radio station that's usually playing in my car (unless Rush is on) has come up with a Wagnerian twist on the event, calling it "Autodammerung". I like that.
The local news is playing this thing up like it's a natural disaster. They're adding hours of live coverage Saturday and Sunday and are basically trying to scare the wits out of anyone who might drive somewhere this weekend.
Keep it up, guys, I need the 405 clear all the way to LAX on Saturday night. And I bet it will be.
