What Goes to Vegas, Stays In Vegas (Until Thursday)

Time for the annual Mrs. Holycoast's Birthday Trip to Las Vegas!
Looks like a typical July week in Vegas with temps well over 100 degrees, but that's what massive amounts of carbon-spewing air conditioning is for. We could even get thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday, and I'm all for that.  Anything to knock the heat down a bit, though the higher humidity might make things a little sticky.

A few years ago we were on Las Vegas Blvd. getting ready to turn into Paris Las Vegas when a strong storm broke over the Strip.  The wind must have been 50-60 mph - the fountain in front of Paris was blowing all the water out sideways and the tourists were scattering.  Very entertaining.

I'll be working pretty much exclusively off the smartphone this week, so blogging will be largely confined to photos and stuff from the trip.  I was hoping that Vegas would have a big July 4th celebration tonight, but so far it doesn't look like there are any big fireworks shows on the Strip.  May have to look around a bit and head off the Strip to find one.
