Animals in the News

First, we have the Windshield Viper:

What's amazing is now many animal lovers are excoriating this couple for not pulling over and dropping the snake off somewhere for a latte. Hey, there are more snakes where this came from. This is nature's way of weeding out the snakes who make bad life choices.  Kind of like what the Jackass movies do for rednecks.

And then the Hitler Cat:
Cat life can be challenging, especially if you look like Hilter on top of battling dogs, chasing mice, and dodging less-than-gentle children.

Kitler, a six-week old feline in England, remains unwanted at the Wood Green Animal Shelter for having a black fur patch under her nose that resembles Adolf Hitler’s signature mustache.

According to The Telegraph, staffers at the furry friends orphanage claim Kitler’s eerie appearance has turned off potential owners from adopting her. The employees say these folks are missing out on a lovely cat.

“Kitler is an adorable little girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right family,” spokeswoman Tara Dundon told The Telegraph. “She is really playful and a typical sweet kitten. We rehome five and a half thousand animals every year but we cannot find a loving owner for Kitler. We think her unusual markings are putting people off.”
I'm convinced that all cats have a little Hitler in them. The mustache shouldn't throw anyone off.

And finally, Save a Woodpecker, Go to Jail.  I'll let you read the story for the details, but bottom line, if you see a wild bird in trouble, walk away.

As for the snake?
I probably would have pulled my Kahr and opened fire while screaming...I hate them.
Or slammed my brakes hoping it would fly off and then doing my damnedest to run it over...

That would have pushed me over the edge..
Shudder.....
