During the last couple of weeks of the debt negotiations it seemed that every day Obama was holding an impromptu press conference or making a public statement. But once the market tanked on Thursday and the S&P downgrade on Friday Obama has been silent.
This is the same guy who couldn't wait to comment on the Cambridge Police arrest of his radical professor buddy, or to show support for the Ground Zero Mosque when that was in the news.
This weekend Obama has sent his lackeys out to blame the Tea Party or criticize S&P...while he played golf at Camp David. Tonight he has two DNC fundraisers and will soon leave for Martha's Vineyard and an expensive vacation. He's seriously tone deaf.
Perhaps he's figured out that whenever he talks things just get worse.
UPDATE: Just announced - Obama will make a statement at 1pm EDT, but no questions will be allowed. What do you think he's going to say? My guess is it will be a political attack on S&P, the Republicans and the Tea Party - anything to try and deflect blame from his administration. I also expect yet another call for more spending and higher taxes on corporate jet owners et al. I don't expect him to show any real leadership.

I will note that the Tea Party people have NOT been taxing me and spending my money. I hold them in high esteem for that fact alone.
Boy, you hit that nail on the head....
