The Empire Strikes Back

Looks like good news from The Empire State in NY-9. Republican Bob Turner is leading Dem David Weprin in the race to replace Anthony Weiner in a district the GOP hasn't won since the Earth cooled. Results are still coming in and no formal calls have been made yet.

UPDATE:  Race has been called for the GOP.  The last time they held this seat was 1922.  Erick Erickson has a good idea:

@EWErickson: GOP can look to NY-09 and tell Obama to take a hike with his jobs bill.

UPDATE 2: GOP wins NV-2 as well to sweep both special elections.
