"It's very clear that private sector jobs have been doing just fine, it's the public sector jobs where we've lost huge numbers, and that's what this legislation is all about," Reid said on the Senate floor.Yeah, the private sector is doing just great with over 9% unemployment.
What nobody wants to say is the Dem bill, which is just another giveaway to public employee unions, will only provide funding for one year. After that the various municipalities and school districts will have to pay for these people on their own. In other words, this bill will simply delay local pain by adding to America's long-term pain.
The GOP should oppose the bill. It's just an election ploy.
