Is Mormanism a Cult? Is It Christian?
I can't say I have a learned opinion on the subject, but one evangelical scholar, Richard Mouw, President of Fuller Theological Seminary, has spent some time on the subject and offers a piece in the CNN Belief Blog worth reading. Should Mitt Romney become the nominee I guarantee you this subject will be investigated to death by the mainstream media which has been quiet on the issue thus far. I don't think they want to cripple Romney's campaign...yet.

Rick, do you honestly trust someone who writes for CNN to give you credible information on religion, any religion? I read the article you cited, and the author gave only his opinion, no data.
To know if something is Christian you need to know what they believe about the Messiah. There is a huge amount of information on the Internet that compares and contrasts Mormonism with Christianity, and sadly the former is way out of line from the latter. Mormonism has worked very hard to blend into respectable society, but its Christian appearance is but a veneer.
Look it up.
You're right about one thing: if Romney becomes the nominee the media will verbally stone him.
