The Media Will Leave Romney Alone Until He's the Nominee, and Then They'll Pull the "Magic Underwear" Card

The GOP establishment is doing everything it can to make Mitt Romney the nominee. With Chris Christie's endorsement today, they're trying to make Romney's nomination inevitable - everyone else might as well just go home.

Watch the media carefully. I predict you won't see much criticism of Romney at this point. They may not come right out and praise him, but their criticism will be muted...until he gets the nomination. And then, everything you ever wanted to know about Mormonism will be on full display.

We'll get to read front page New York Times expose's into "Magic Underwear", the Angel Maroni, the visit Jesus supposedly made to America in the 1800's, the weird life of Brigham Young....all of it. The same media that wouldn't touch Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his anti-Semitic Black Liberation Theology will be all over Mormonism, polygamy, and every other bizarre offshoot of that religion.

Every prominent Republican will be asked on the Sunday shows if Mormonism is a cult and if Romney's really a Christian. Republicans will be forced by the media to defend his faith, something Obama or his surrogates never had to do.

And all of this is a self-inflicted wound. We don't have to accept the candidate who created the blueprint for Obamacare just because the establishment GOP says we do. We don't have to accept a guy who signed some of the toughest anti-gun laws in the nation. We don't have accept a guy who was pro-choice until it was not longer politically expedient. We can choose someone else.

And we better.

If Romney gets the nod, the movie 'September Dawn' will be playing on Al Gore's Current cable channel in a constant repeating loop.
