#OccupyWallStreet - America's Lost Youth and the Product of 30 Years of Self-Esteem Classes

And there's a few old farts mixed in there too, but for the most part the #OccupyThisOrThat is a youth movement made up of people who believed all the self-esteem crap they were fed in elementary school.

These are the people who showed up at Cesar Chavez Elementary every day and were greeted with a Stuart Smalley-like affirmation of I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!

High school was a blur of Model UNs, walks for AIDS and other social justice causes.  When they got to college they spent $100,000 on their Women's Studies or European Art History degrees with a Queer Studies Minor (now offered at Cal State Fullerton).  On graduation day they heard the liberal celebrity speaker tell them they were the ones the world has been waiting for and America is ready for them to solve its problems.  And they believed it.

And then they got out into the real world and discovered that everything they'd been told was B.S.  The world wasn't waiting for them to get there and their Women's Studies major wouldn't even get them a job cleaning women's restrooms.  Nobody cared what they thought and instead of the world being based on good intentions and self-esteem, it's actually based on real achievements...of which they had none.  Nobody was going to give them a job with a big salary and benefits just because they could intelligently discuss the artist who cut his own ear off.

Now that the world has smacked them in the face they're desperately looking for a villain.  And don't get me wrong, there are villains.  The schools which allowed them to borrow ridiculous amounts of money so they could earn stupid and unmarketable degrees were villains.  The parents that didn't give them any valuable guidance are villains.  The politicians who have stolen their future salaries to pay off their political cronies are villains.  But even with all that, those villains are not responsible for making these people happy.  They have to do that themselves, but I'm pretty sure that sleeping in their own filth and crapping on cop cars is not going to get it done.

Until these people figure out there's great satisfaction in a job well done, they'll be unhappy.  Until they figure out the world is not going to give them everything they want and they'll have to earn it, they'll be unhappy.

It's time for some tough love.  The people who work and live in lower Manhattan or any other area where these losers are hanging out need to stand up and say "ENOUGH!" and kick these losers out.  Don't feel sorry for them, don't give them free stuff, and don't listen to their blather.  It only encourages them.  They need to be shunned and mocked mercilessly until they finally figure out that nobody important is listening.

And they go home.  And take a shower.

It may take a while for reality to sink in for them. Even though the media is touting this as a 'leaderless movement', there are organizers who are nothing more than agitators. Community organizers have a lot to lose if these protesters permanently snap out of their delusion.

Last week, Rush Limbaugh said that these 'occupy' protests are nothing more than 'Boot Camp' for what the left has planned later.
