There's a bad accident on Alicia at Charlinda involving a police motorcycle officer. Looks pretty bad. The motor went into the rear of another car.
Police are all over my neighborhood. This may have been a chase with a suspect escaping. More info later.
UPDATE: Here's a closer look. Judging by the size and depth of the v-shaped dent on the car the motorcycle must have been going at a pretty good speed when he hit the car. The officer landed to the right side of the car up past the front of the vehicle:
My neighborhood is crawling with officers. Every major intersection has an officer standing by watching traffic. I still haven't found a report on just what happened, but it's clear there's a suspect on the loose here somewhere.
As I left my house, unaware of what was going on, I was passed by three motor officers running with lights and sirens and they turned onto a street just above Del Cerro Elementary School. This seems to be the area they're concentrating on. Unknown if the school is in lock down. The Sheriff's helicopter is still circling overhead.
Stay tuned.

I watched it happen too. I saw the cop chasing a guy on a motorcycle going well over 100mph. the guy he chasing went through the intersection, and i watched the cop hit the back end of a car and fly into the air. I ran out of my car and helped out, and I'm hoping he is okay. And another:
I did not see that he as chasing anyone. The cop went past me going very fast and when he got to the intersection it was clear that he did not have room to swerve around the cars that were in front of him and he slammed into the back of one. I also saw him fly through the air and hit the ground next to the car. Thanks anonymous #2 for helping him...I was not in a place where I could do that but saw several people run over to him immediately. And another:
He was for sure chasing another man on a motorcycle, I watched the entire thing happen. He was going EXTREMELY fast when he hit that car, you can tell by the dent. The man he was chasing (also on a motorcycle) went through the two cars, and I think the cop tried to do that too, but it all went wrong.UPDATE: Here's the story from the OC Register:
A motorcycle deputy crashed into a vehicle as authorities chased down two motorcyclists who were spotted riding down the I-5 freeway at speeds exceeding 100 mph, authorities said.
The deputy appears to have suffered broken bones after crashing into the back of the vehicle, authorities said, while the two motorcyclists rode away and continued to try to elude authorities. A second driver was also taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol began chasing the two motorcyclists on the southbound lanes of the 5 freeway at 11:44 a.m. after an officer spotted them riding at speeds of more than 100 mph, said CHP officer Gabe Montoya.
The two riders exited at Oso Parkway, Montoya said, and at times raced down surface streets at 130 mph.
"They ran in all lanes of traffic," Montoya said.
Officers asked for a helicopter to assist in the pursuit, he said. As the motorcyclists continued on surface streets, deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Department joined in the pursuit.
A motorcycle deputy was following the two riders when he crashed into the back of a vehicle along Alicia Parkway and Charlinda Drive, said Jim Amormino, spokesman for the sheriff's department.
The two riders kept going.
The deputy was treated for leg injuries and taken to Mission Hospital to be treated, said Capt. Marc Stone of the Orange County Fire Authority. The other injured driver, identified only as a female, was taken to Saddleback Hospital.
The two riders split up after the crash, Amormino said, and deputies found one of the bikes abandoned near Del Cerro Elementary School in Mission Viejo. The school was placed on lockdown while deputies searched the area.
One man has been taken into custody, Amormino said, and authorities are searching for the second rider.

I saw the accident happen. Praying he is ok.
Can you provide any details?

Thank you! I kind of thought that's what might have happened. The Register is reporting a leg injury, but they make it sound like it's not too bad. I hope that's true.
I made the first anonymous comment...I did not see that he as chasing anyone. Anonymous #1 again...I saw the Register's report...I have a hard time believing he only has a minor leg injury. Hopefully that's the case. I was just hoping he was alive.
He was for sure chasing another man on a motorcycle, I watched the entire thing happen. He was going EXTREMELY fast when he hit that car, you can tell by the dent. Adding onto my last comment:
I feel like there has to be more then a leg injury. I cringed watching this accident happen. I was shaking when I called the cops because I had no idea how hurt he was. When I left, he was in care of other cops and the fire truck was there, and he was alive, but I couldn't tell exactly how hurt he was.
I'm the same person that posted the comment "I watched it happen too. I won't talk as anonymous anymore..
Thanks for the details, Amy.
Yep! Wish I knew more... :/
LOL that was my friend he was chasing on the motorcycle. He's a dumbass.
Well, your dumbass friend is going to be a convicted felon. Hope he enjoyed the ride.
You see, you have to dive deeper into "why" he was running. Also the guy is a thrill seeker so he prob. did. However, i do feel for the cop in the indecent its a shame that he had to get injured :(
So because he is a thrill seeker, it makes it okay to put people's lives in danger? Ok, that totally makes sense. Wow.
I've been good friends with the convicted felon. he's really a good guy and didn't mean harm to anyone.. it's really sad this is the way he had to learn this lesson...
