San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant Being Evacuated

Uh-oh:
A possible emergency is underway at the San Onofre nuclear plant Tuesday.

Officials say an emergency management center has been evacuated.

Local residents are being urged to monitor local media for updates.

A spokesperson said that at no time was the plant's safety compromised.
At least if it blows I'll get to see the light show a few seconds before the shock wave destroys my neighborhood.

UPDATE:
@CBSLAND: BREAKING: level 3 Alert San Onofre Nuclear Plant. serious incident w/ no reports of radiation leaks at ths time.

Emergency sirens at San Onofre going off inside the plant. No immediate threat to public safety AT THIS MOMENT.

Officials believe no nuclear material has been leaked. Also believe the plant's structure has not been compromised.
