Christmas Songs That Have Nothing to Do With Christmas

When the alarm went off this morning the radio was playing Andy Williams' version of "Let it Snow".  I realized as I listened to the lyrics that although the song is forever tied to Christmas, it has nothing to do with Christmas.  It's just a love song that takes place in the winter.

That got me to thinking about some other songs that we always hear during the Christmas season but that have no specific tie to the holiday.  Songs like "Baby It's Cold Outside" and "Winter Wonderland".

Those are the three that immediately come to mind.  If you wish to add any, put your songs in the comments.

*Yule or Yuletide ("Yule-time") is a winter festival that was initially celebrated by the historical Germanic people as a pagan religious festival, though it was later absorbed into, and equated with, the Christian festival of Christmas. (Wikipedia)

Technically we're in Advent, not Christmas. The Christmas season begins after, you know, Christmas.

So many people make a big deal of Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and the Christmas music stations play it once an hour. I hate it. I think it's stupid. And it doesn't have any Christmas meaning to it all.
