Longtime St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols has agreed to a 10-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels for between $250-260 million, according to multiple reports.I haven't been to a game in over a year. Probably won't go to one next year either, but at least the diehard fans will have something to cheer.
Pujols had received lucrative offers from both the Cardinals and Miami Marlins, but the Angels turned out to be the "mystery team" in the bidding.
The Angels' deal includes a full no-trade clause. According to Jon Heyman of SI.com, the key was the Angels' new TV deal that could give the club $150 million per year, $100 million more than their previous deal.
