Six House Democrats, led by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), want to set up a "Reasonable Profits Board" to control gas profits.Apparently this bill is called "The Gas Price Spike Act". If these fools want to know why gas prices are spiking, perhaps they should look at the activities of this administration before they look at the oil companies. We could have gotten millions of barrels of oil from the Canadians, but no, Obama decided to appease the radical environmental lobby and kill the Keystone XL pipeline. Why don't you start by investigating those people?

The bill provides no specific guidance for how the board would determine what constitutes a reasonable profit.

The BATFE has learned since the days of Elliot Ness that it's best to be all encompassing when coming up with your brand new government bureaucracy's name -lest you have to change the sign on the building every decade or so to add tobacco, then firearms, then explosives.
The fact that they want to call it "Reasonable Profits Board" and not "Bureau of Petroleum Industry Profits" lets you know they will add every other industry in the private sector and not even have to change the logo on their letterhead.
It's right up there with the Ministry of Funny-Walks from Monty Python.
