Our long national nightmare is over - NASCAR returns tonight. Twenty-five cars will run tonight in the Budweiser Shootout, a sort of modified 75-lap All-Star event that starts each season. Martin Truex Jr. will lead them to the line at 8pm EST on Fox.
This next week is loaded with activities surrounding the Daytona 500. First round of qualifying takes place tomorrow, the twin qualifying races are on Thursday, and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday we'll have the season opening races for the Camping World Truck Series (250 miles), the Nationwide Series (300 miles), and the Sprint Cup Series (Daytona 500). Lots of work for the new DVR this week.
