The government's just swell, says NASCAR driver-- We've entered bizarro-land. TheDC's Michelle Fields reports:Another "Cafeteria Catholic". I think she may find out that NASCAR fans are ardently patriotic and extremely anti-big government. After all, the sport got its start with former bootleggers driving the modified cars they used to run from the "Revenuers". Leaving critical decisions to the government is not their way of doing things.
"NASCAR driver Danica Patrick isn’t particularly concerned about the Obama administration’s dictate that religious employers provide health care plans that cover contraceptives. 'I leave it up to the government to make good decisions for Americans,' Patrick, a Roman Catholic, told The Daily Caller Tuesday when asked about the controversy."
You can't be a NASCAR driver and be a fan of big government. It's just not allowed. That's not the America we know and love. It's like being the governor of Illinois and not being a criminal.

Just What NASCAR Needs, A Driver With Liberal Political Views
Well, I guess if you're going to make the sport more diverse and you feel the need to promote a woman driver, she might as well be a liberal:

In a recent interview, Patrick described how she tried to pick up her sister at the airport in her Lamborghini Gallardo.
“She’s got bags. I don’t have a trunk. I’ve got a briefcase-sized spot in the front of the car. I have no space.”
Her sister had to pile the bags on her lap. She even had her dog with her.
“I felt so stupid.” Danica said.
What a perfect example of spending tons of money on something that doesn't get the job done -and this same idiot trusts governemnt to likewise spend tons of money to “make good decisions for Americans.”
ObamaCare is the Lamborghini Gallardo of government programs, when all most people want is an F150 pickup truck.
One more thing. If Danica Patrick loves central-planning so much, why doesn't she drive a damn Trabant?
When she got pulled over for speeding, she pulled “the race car driver card. I said, ‘I’m a race car driver. I’m not going to hurt anyone out here. I know what I’m doing.’”
It's really stupid to complain about authoritarians cramping your style when you're speeding, but go with the flow when the Secretary shall determine that your mom won't get the cancer treatment she needs to stay alive.
*I'd like to clarify my previous statement that Obamacare is the Lambo of gov't programs. It costs as much as a Lambo, but has the performance and ameneties of the Trabant.
Apparently there are some people in thegovernment woh are smarter than Danica. I've met at least one.
