President Obama will land in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon for a 20-hour fundraising tour, and his travels could cause traffic jams on the Westside and in Orange County. Some unsettled weather is due in this afternoon which means Air Force One may get a rocky ride into town, but not as rocky as the commute people on the West Side are likely to experience today. And expect the 405 to be shut down as Obama comes down to Corona del Mar and back to LAX. Hopefully they'll fly him instead of messing up the freeways.
Obama is scheduled to arrive at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, and from there, according to a campaign official, will travel to an outdoor fundraising reception and dinner at the residence of Bradley and Colleen Bell in the Holmby Hills neighborhood in the hills north of the L.A. Country Club. Bradley Bell is the executive producer of the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful."...
On Thursday, Obama is scheduled to travel to the Newport Beach neighborhood of Corona del Mar, where he will attend a fundraising luncheon at the home of real estate developer Jeff Stack and his wife, Nancy Stack, for which tickets cost $2,500. Obama will then head back to LAX, where he is scheduled to leave before midday.
