Socialism Comes To a Burning, Crashing End in Greece

This is the logical end result of socialism:
The Greek parliament approved a deeply unpopular austerity bill to secure a second EU/IMF bailout and avoid national bankruptcy, as buildings burned across central Athens and violence spread around the country.

Cinemas, cafes, shops and banks were set ablaze in central Athens as black-masked protesters fought riot police outside parliament.

State television reported the violence spread to the tourist islands of Corfu and Crete, the northern city of Thessaloniki and towns in central Greece. Shops were looted in the capital where police said 34 buildings were ablaze.
Give it a few years and this could be #OccupyWallStreet responding to the kinds of cuts that will be necessary in the U.S.

Was it Mark Twain who said man is the only animal that blushes, or needs to?

Obama has been shown to have a grudge against many European countries -not sure if Greece is among them. As the EU and ECB run out of options, they'll ask the US for assistance with the implied threat that they'll drag us down with them.

I expect the White House is polling like crazy to find out if the public is turned off by a European bailout before November, and whether Obama wins or loses, I would expect him to withdraw the bailout and kick Europe to the curb in December.

Nothing would please Obama more than to see Europe turn into a third world sewer like their former African colonies.
