Hate to defend #RushLimbaugh but he apologized, liberals looking bad not accepting. Also hate intimidation by sponsor pulloutFeeling a little heat, Bill? I'm sure he is, because since this whole thing began to develop conservatives have been quick to point out Maher's misogyny and how the left just ignored it. I don't think Maher wants any more attention directed his way on this issue. He's trying to make the whole thing go away.
At first he was pretty smug, even saying he didn't have to apologize because he was on HBO and didn't have any sponsors. Seems like he's changed his tune - especially when people started reminding Democrats that Maher gave $1 million to Obama's SuperPac and demanded that Obama return it.
He is right, however, that the left is looking bad by refusing to accept Limbaugh's apology. They've turned themselves into the bad guys and Limbaugh into a victim. This whole effort will backfire on them.
Speaking of backfiring, look what's happening to former sponsor Carbonite:
Since the market opened on Monday through its close today, Carbonite stock (NASDAQ:CARB) has plummeted nearly 12 percent, outpacing the drop of the NASDAQ index in that same time period by nine-and-a-half points. It was also one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ on Tuesday.Nice company you got there, Carbonite, be a shame if something happened to it...

Fragile things break when they're dropped. Carbonite dropped itself...
Yannow, 20 millions fans is 40% of the fabled "50 million Frenchmen can't be wrong".
