Political Headline of the Day

This sort of says it all about the Dems' approach to the law:
Democrats plan bill to undo Arizona immigration law if it is upheld by court
Bottom line, if the Supreme Court gets the call right and upholds the Arizona immigration law the Dems will float a bill that can never pass in order to buy Latino votes. The fact the law is legal won't matter.

1. State passes law.
2. President challenges law in court.
3. Law is upheld by Supreme Court.
4. Congress votes to overturn law.

It's been a while since I saw Schoolhouse Rock, but I don't think it's supposed to work that way.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Governor Jan Brewer are going to have the Constitution on their side.

The President will use DOJ and all related federal law enforcement. Congress will try to deny federal funds to Arizona.

I hope the rest of the states band together to form a united front against any retaliation aimed at Arizona, because if Arizona caves, you may as well burn your state flag.

“If the court upholds the Arizona law, Congress can make it clear that what Arizona is doing goes beyond what the federal government and what Congress ever intended,” Schumer said in an interview.

Notice he DIDN'T say “...what the Constitution and what the founding fathers ever intended.” This megalomaniac honestly believes that the federal government and Congress are the final word in this country -but if nobody calls them on it, he's right.

Congress won't say that so long as Repubs hold the House.
