Thanks Al, you just took a chunk out of my 401(k).
I have over 14 years in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPers). You can read their comprehensive annual report (latest for 2011) online. #1 holding - ExxonMobil - 14.3 million shares for a valuation of $1.1 billion. #5 holding - Chevron - $5.7 million shares for a valuation of $587 million. Yet it's liberal public employee unions who are vilifying "big oil" and making it impossible to drill in California. Drives me nuts!
