$87 for One Park, One Day

Back in the late 60's I remember my family going to Disneyland and it cost $25 for all four of us, what seemed like an outrageous figure to me at the time. In the mid-90's when when I had a family of my own Disneyland redid their Annual Pass program and it cost us $99 per person for the whole year. Now it will cost almost as much to see one park on one day:
The cost of a ticket to the Magic Kingdom is going up again.

On Friday, Disneyland Resort officials announced they would increase prices for single-day tickets and season passes for the second time in less than a year. The new prices affect both the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks.

Disneyland last raised single-day ticket prices and annual pass fees on June 12.

The one-day, one-park pass goes from $80 to $87.

Starting Sunday, visitors will pay $21 more than they did four years ago for a single-day pass to either park, and $46 more than 11 years ago when there was only the Disneyland park; California Adventure opened in 2001.
Anyone who pays $87 to visit Disneyland for one day during the summer rush is an idiot. Add in $20 or more per person for food and tourist junk, and you've got a very frustrating and expensive day ahead of you.
