When I was in high school, politics and elections were treaded on very carefully by teachers because they didn't want to appear to endorse a party or candidate. That was a big no-no.
This teacher should be fired for several reasons:
1. Pushing a political candidate.
2. Misrepresenting the facts regarding students' rights under the First Amendment.
3. Speaking jive in the classroom.
Question #1: Is anyone surprised that this occurred?
Betcha the answer is NO.
I can see some folks saying the kid should have respect for his teacher. Those folks have "Question Authority" bumper stickers on their cars...
I could barely understand anyone on that recording.
We need to go back to teaching diction.
