Well, she really *is* a part of a tribe. . . but not the Cherokee. It's the Pretendian tribe of Ward Churchill and Company. Thoroughly discredited and debunked.
Just lil' ol' me, on the other hand, can actually *prove* via documents and information now posted to Ancestry.com my Cherokee Nation heritage. Lots of ancestors buried at Cherokee National Cemetery in Oklahoma too. Nothing made up.
Guess that disqualifies me from being in politics or academia. . . well, one out of the two - I'm entrenched incognito in the underground Cherokee educator's network! Hope they don't out me from it anytime soon just yet. . .
