Christ Cathedral is the new name for the former Crystal Cathedral, it was announced Saturday.I was hoping for "Church of the Holy Plexiglas", but they didn't take my suggestion.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange County, which bought the landmark for $57.7 million, made the announcement after an ordination ceremony.
The new name was suggested by parishioners and chosen by Bishop Tod. D. Brown from among 4,100 suggestions.
