Green Energy Quote of the Day

Saw this on Facebook:
"The biofuels debacle is global warm-mongering in a nutshell: The first victims of poseur environmentalism will always be developing countries. In order for you to put biofuel in your Prius and feel good about yourself for no reason, real actual people in faraway places have to starve to death." -- Mark Steyn
Just ask the poor people of Central and South America who rely on corn as a staple but can't afford it because so much is now used to produce inefficient ethanol.

I remember when ethanol was mandated in the US -soon after the price of everything with bread in it skyrocketed because farmers were switching to corn to pickup the government subsidy. There was a sign posted at the checkout counter at Panera Bread apologizing to customers for events beyond their control.

It was Liberalism in action.
