I don't know that I've ever even linked to a Maureen Down column, but you should read this one. She's obviously fallen out of love with The One. And this is how Drudge headlined it:

"Covering a humorous W. at the unveiling of his portrait, the White House press actually seemed nostalgic for the president who bollixed up Afghanistan, Iraq, Katrina and the economy."
Afghanistan was 'The Good War', remember Maureen? Maybe it'd gone better if he hadn't fired the General who was trying to win it.
Iraq was all but won when Obama was elected.
Katrina: the Governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans, both Democrats, bear no responsibility for their own National Guard-less state and 'Chocolate City'?
The economy: Once again Democrat controlled Senate and House are completely blameless. What policies of Bush's hurt the economy?
Did Bush have the EPA raid companies to enforce the dubious Lacy Act -the law that is whatever the government says it is? No.
Did Bush sign a bill taxing medical device manufacturers for having the temerity to want to save lives? No.
Did Bush sick the NLRB on anybody daring to invade His Kingdom with a new assembly plant? No.
Perhaps the media is nostalgic for an era when Democrats could fall on their faces and there was a Republican on whom they could blame it all.
What Larry said, and this:
"Democrat Ed Rendell, the former governor of Pennsylvania, wonders how 'the best communicator in campaign history” lost his touch.'"
Really?
You Democrats put up a straw man; what did you expect?
I read the first page; it was mostly basic MoDo.
And only the MSM and the lefties think (or thought) Da Won was "the best communicator in history". Me, I can't stand to listen to him--too much stomach acid.
