Lester and Nancy McCormick made room in their home for so many unwanted cats that they lost count and created a stink that brought city and county officials to the door.Outcome-based education strikes again.
"I thought we had about 30," Lester McCormick, 58, said Monday as Orange County Animal Control Services officers hauled box after box, each filled with a cat, out of the house on Cape Victoria. The official tally was 82.
We have one cat, and she's fully capable of turning our upstairs into a no-breathe zone when nature calls. I can't even imagine what 82 cats could do to the air quality in a suburban neighborhood.
On the plus side, the cat fishing was very good. This one was landed after a spirited fight:
