How to Lose a Senate Majority

Don Surber summarizes:
Politico went through the mechanics of how the Democrats go from 60 Senate seats to 49 in just one year’s time. The occasion was Democratic Senator Evan Bayh’s decision on Monday to say bye-bye to a third term despite having $13 million in the bank.

I will simplify Politico:

Democrats already lost Massachusetts.

Readers know I think Democrats lose 4 seats right off the bat: Arkansas, Delaware, North Dakota and Pennsylvania.

Most readers would add Colorado and Nevada.

Some readers New York’s short seat, to fill the final two years of Hillary Clinton’s term; Chuck Schumer is also up for re-election.

Illinois, Indiana and Washington state are vulnerable.

That’s 11 seats.

In one year.

And don't forget California. Barbara "Dumb-as-a-Box-of-Rocks" Boxer is under 50% against all comers. She's not a shoe-in for re-election either.

It's still unlikely the GOP could run the table and take all those seats, but it's a pretty sure thing the Dem majority starting next year will be much lower than it currently is...in both Houses of Congress.
