President will renew his call for Repubs. to put "country before party" - his address to a joint session of Congress is ThursdayHow come Obama never asks Democrats to put "country before party"?
I'll answer my own question - Democrats and their massive spending programs are just assumed to be correct, so therefore any compromise must come from those who are "wrong", i.e Republicans.
Given this information I don't know why any Republicans would bother to show up for the speech.
