There's a War Coming

After listening to Teamster's President James Hoffa Jr. talk about the Tea Party and the GOP and using the violent rhetoric "let's take these sons of a bitches out", it's clear to me that a new Civil War is on the horizon. It won't be a race war, at least not in the purest sense of the term, but will be an economic war between the dependent class that demands that government take care of their every need (using taxpayer funds, of course), and the productive class that is going to refuse to keep paying for it.  It's a battle that's been brewing since the Great Society of the 60's and perhaps even the New Deal of the 30's and it's a fight we're going to have to have.  No sense waiting any longer - it's time to get it on.

The battle lines for CW-I was more straightforward than they would be for CW-II. Today's battle lines are between neighbors who are in the private sector vs those in the public sector, those who pay taxes vs those on the dole. To see where this would go, see the war in the Balkans where neighbors would lead police through their own village pointing out who was the 'enemy'. Those people were rounded up and disposed of.

Most police here are unionized.

Not all of us union members are supportive of those who want to sit around enjoying a prolonged adolescence.

It's time to get rid of the dead-wood; time to make those who can, work; and then there will be something left over to take care of those who really need help; all without raising taxes. Maybe we can even lower taxes.

These union thugs want a class war? They may be unpleasantly surprised where they will find the opposition.

Joe Biden at a different union rally today:

This is a fight for the heart and soul of the labor movement. It’s a fight, literally, for our right to exist. Don’t misunderstand what this is. You are the only folks keeping the barbarians from the gates. You are the only non-governmental power that has the power and the capacity to stop this onslaught.

Right now, the middle class is under attack, because labor is under the most direct assault in generations. The other side has declared war on labor’s house and it’s about time we stand up.

Heart and soul?

Really.

If the unions had a heart or a soul, they'd stop the nasty rhetoric. If they had a brain, they'd stop pushing for unsustainable policies.
