Mission Viejo Diablos football team defeated Upland last night 48-21. The score really doesn't tell the tale, because the game wasn't even that close. Mission scored on it's first possession, and Upland scored on a 96 yard kickoff runback. After that Mission scored 41 straight points.
The starters were pulled before the end of the first half, and the the only reason Upland scored a couple more touchdowns in the second half was that they were playing against Mission's second and third string players. That's been the pattern of most the games we've played this year.
Mission takes on Valencia of Valencia this Saturday night at Angels Stadium for the CIF Division II title.
