"There is love. There is hate. There is fighting. There is charity . People marry. They divorce. They make children," he said. This is part of an article in the LA Times which basically is a propaganda effort to paint North Korea with a very favorable brush. Granted, I'm sure that most of the things above are happening somewhere in North Korea, but to imply that life in that country could remotely be described as "normal" is just plain silly. The people are starving due to all the funding going to military projects and fancy parties for the nutcase that runs the place.
"People are just trying to live a normal life."
The article is incredibly imbalanced in favor of North Korea, and will undoubtedly be used loudly and often by the country's propaganda ministry. I quit reading the Times back during the early days of the Bush administration due to the hard left nature of their columnists and news writers. Apparently nothing has changed since then, and this article is all the more reason to stay away from the Lefty Times.
