Thank You Ward Churchill!

I haven't spent anytime blogging about the Ward Churchill mess in Colorado (he's the nutty professor who hates America and thinks the victims of 9/11 were "little Eichmans"). Mike Rosen writing in the Rocky Mountain News puts the Churchill problem in perspective.

Thank you Ward Churchill! As the poster child for so much of what's wrong with higher education today, you moved this issue from the back burner to the front burner of public policy. Whether you stay or go is merely another battle. This is about the war of ideas.

Given some of the craziness that has come out of major universities lately, I think it's good that this debate has moved front and center.
