I Guess This Takes Care of the Hillary Problem

For those of you concerned about the possibility of a President Hillary Clinton (and First Stud Bill), you need not worry. Good buddy (and brand new father) Eric Baesel sends me an article from the Jerusalem Post which says that a careful study of the Koran reveals that the U.S. will cease to exist in 2007:
A thorough analysis of the Koran reveals that the US will cease to exist in the year 2007, according to research published by Palestinian scholar Ziad Silwadi.

The study, which has caught the attention of millions of Muslims worldwide, is based on in-depth interpretations of various verses in the Koran. It predicts that the US will be hit by a tsunami larger than that which recently struck southeast Asia.

"The tsunami waves are a minor rehearsal in comparison with what awaits the US in 2007," the researcher concluded in his study. "The Holy Koran warns against the Omnipotent Allah's force. A great sin will cause a huge flood in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans."

I must admit that a huge tsunami would be preferable to a President Hillary, and I'm sure this news has gotten the America haters of the world all a'twitter, but somehow I doubt this guys scholarship. There are scientists who are concerned that a major volcanic landslide in the Azores could cause a tsunami that would devastate the East Coast of the U.S., but I don't think anyone is predicting the possibility of a wave that could run coast to coast. I'm sure the Red-Staters would figure out some way to stop it.

It's also interesting that the prediction is just for the U.S., but not for Mexico, Canada, Cuba or any of Central America. Apparently this will be a tsunami schooled in geography and political boundaries that will know enough to turn right at El Paso.
