Another Reason Formula 1 Is In Trouble in the U.S.

Last Sunday I wrote about the F1 fiasco at Indianapolis, and how that was sure to hurt F1 in the U.S. I've also written a time or two about Danica Patrick, the female Indy car racer who has been the subject of a publicity blitz.

F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone was asked about Patrick's performance in the Indy 500 and had this to say:
"She did a good job, didn't she? Super. Didn't think she'd be able to make it like that," Ecclestone told a gathering of reporters. "You know, I've got one of these wonderful ideas that women should be all dressed in white like all the other domestic appliances."
Oh boy, is Bernie going to have problems if F1 comes back next year. I wonder if there will be a protest like the group that tried to get everyone to pull the Masters out of Augusta a couple of years ago because they didn't allow female members.
