Here's How to Get Hostile Comments at a NASCAR Race

Dateline took the wrong approach. They should have tried this:

In another story on NASCAR.com some drivers interviewed weren't surprised that Dateline's efforts fell flat at Martinsville. You can read it here.

Bruton Smith, the chairman of Speedway Motorsports Inc. which owns Texas Motor Speedway, was a little less diplomatic:
Chairman and CEO of Speedway Motorsports Inc. Bruton Smith's reaction wasn't as politically correct.

"If this is really true and NBC has anything to do with that, I question the mentality of that," he said. "They're creating news? I thought they were supposed to report it.

"We're going to be very watchful to see that things are done properly."

Dateline might want to pick another sport for their news creation business.
