Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., a vocal critic of the war in Iraq, threatened to run for House Majority Leader if the Democrats take back the House in the November elections.Somebody in the DNC needs to talk to these guys and tell them to quit scaring Americans into voting Republican.
Murtha, in a short letter to his Democratic House colleagues, made his intentions clear:
"If we prevail as I hope and know we will and return to the majority this next Congress, I have decided to run for the open seat of the Majority Leader.
"I would appreciate your consideration and vote and look forward to speaking to you personally about my decision."
